The 1,000 Words challenge was a LiveJournal community that I joined a few years ago.

The aim was to respond to a one-line¬† prompt with an image. A Drawing, a painting, a digital photo manipulation, whatever. “A picture is worth a thousand words” after all.

31 caption prompts went up over all, and while I responded to about half of them, these images are the only ones that are still hanging around, or that I have the rights to publish, because they are exclusively my work. Once again, they were mostly done on rainy weekends, in our lounge room, doing  art with my wife Kitty, and daughter Lilly .

“So, what is it?”

“What happened to you?”

“Look what I made.”

“I thought I looked bad.”

“It was in a brown paper bag, next to the bum on 7th Street.”

“I fell asleep, sorry.”
